LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY:

INTRODUCTION

This series of photographs represent images photographed for the most part while hiking. Each hike is organized on it's own page with short descriptions.

The gallery represents a set of images from the Island of Criehaven in Maine. An island where I have spent 10 years and represents my most complete set of fine art photographs over a 3 year period.

I once mentioned to someone, that it wasn't until the seventh year that I felt close enough to the essence of this island to begin photographing it. I believe still-photography is best represented as a series, over a period of time, to portray a sincere relationship between subject and artist. There's something more truthful about it.

COSTA RICA (2006)
The photographs from Costa Rica were taken during the rainy season (July) at 3 national parks and surrounding areas. Two parks along the Pacific coast (Parque Nacional Carara and Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio) and a park centrally located within the country named Parque Nacional Volcan Poas.

A special place to photograph birds is on Tarcoles River near Carara. Be sure you view the multimedia presentation called "On the Tarcoles River " to view my photographs from this river.
